Holiday Reminders - COVID-19

HOLIDAY TRAVEL DURING COVID-19 Chicago residents are strongly advised to avoid all non-essential, out-of-state travel. If you are traveling during the holidays, remember to follow all guidelines and restrictions during your trip. Quarantining upon return is strongly recommended as well as practicing social distancing, wearing face covering and avoid touching surfaces frequently touched by others. If you plan on being away from your residence for an extended period of time, please remember to leave your heat set no lower than 55 degrees to prevent freezing/burst pipes.

Christmas in Chicago

Winter in Chicago may be cold (and filled with snow and slush), but Christmas in Chicago makes it worth the extra layers you might have to wear. The period between Thanksgiving and the New Year's Eve is filled with heartfelt traditions, from tree-lighting ceremonies to wreathing and department store window displays. It's the only time of year when you can sip a mug of steaming spiced wine beneath the Picasso statue, visit the Walnut Room tree at Macy's and sing carols in front of the Bean. There's something undeniably special about Christmas in Chicago.
